Today at the meeting of the Advisory Council for Agricultural Policy under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the Map of intensive technical re-equipment of the AIC, an analysis was made of the state of the agricultural machinery fleet and the potential of domestic agricultural engineering enterprises.

Analysis of the fleet of agricultural machinery shows that the service life of 65% of tractors and 46% of combines is over 17 years. At the same time, 15% of these tractors do not work, and 26% - are writes-off.

The situation is similar with combines.

As noted in the department of agriculture, the use of worn-out equipment leads to increased costs and, most importantly, to a shortage of crops, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.

The loss of harvest during sowing and harvesting operations with violation of the optimal terms for grain and oilseeds make up 14% of the gross harvest, or about 200 billion tenge.

As noted at the meeting, the situation should be corrected by the developed measures to support domestic machinery manufacturers, such as preferential loans for the purchase of domestic-made self-propelled equipment, preferential loans for the purchase of mounted and trailed equipment of domestic production, subsidizing of domestic enterprises for the sale of products of agricultural producers at a discount, VAT relief for domestic enterprises.
