Over the past year, beef rose in price by more than 15% in Kazakhstan PDF Print E-mail

In December 2017, prices for food products on local counters increased by 6.5% compared to December 2016.

In particular, as noted in the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy, prices for confectionery products rose by 10.7%, alcoholic beverages - by 10.3%, dairy products - by 9.3%, fish and seafood - by 8.6 %, fruits and vegetables - by 8.4%, bakery and flour products – by 7.4%, coffee, tea and cocoa – by 6.2%, bread - by 2.8%, pasta – by 2.1%, flour - by 1.8%, and for sugar decreased by 19.5%, cereals - by 15.1%. The increase in prices for meat and meat products for the period amounted to 11.4%, the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” reports.

The price level for beef grew higher by 15.3%, lamb - by 14.1%, horse meat - by 9.8%, pork - by 9.3%, sausages - by 7.3%, poultry - by 5.8%.
