In 2017 food prices in the West Kazakhstan region increased by 6.5%.

As noted in the statistical report, the increase was due to the increase in prices for bakery and flour confectionery products - by 6.7%, alcoholic beverages - by 7%, dairy products - by 8.1%, fruit - by 9.1%, tobacco products - by 10.1%, fish and seafood - by 11.1%, confectionery products - by 13.6%, meat and poultry - by 18.5%.

Potato has risen in price by 32.9%, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno.”

Prices for oils and fats fell by 2.9%, buckwheat - by 21.5%, eggs - by 15.2%, sugar - by 23.2%.
