For the development of transhumance, 336 wells worth 3.3 billion tenge were built in the Kyzylorda region in recent years, the correspondent of “KazakhZerno.kz” NA reports.

“Transhumance cannot exist without watering place,” says AlibekNalibayev, director of “Bakhytzhan” LLP in the Zhanakorgan district. – Not every farmer can create a new well at his own expense. Even knowing that he will receive subsidies for it.

The farmer believes that it is impossible to restore old wells in villages. Their condition is maintained at the expense of the economy, because without water, a ten thousand herdis in trouble.

Eight reproductive farms have already been created in the region, and a course has been taken for the development of livestock breeding. Currently, animal products from our region are exported to Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, China, Mongolia and the Russian Federation. At present, Iran, China, European countries and Russia are showing interest in natural products made in Kazakhstan and are ready to invest in the agricultural sector and acquire Kazakh agricultural products. A number of Iranian companies' leaders, who expressed interest in exporting live sheep, visited the region, and have been purchasing sheep from us for a second year.

In 2019, 2 billion 361 million tenge was allocated for the development of livestock in the region, which is 113 million more than in 2018. About 150 thousand tenge per bull will be paid to farmers from the regional budget for purchasing breeding bulls of Kazakh breed and 250 thousand tenge for purchases from abroad. Due to an increase of state support in the region in 2018, the number of cattle increased by 7 percent.

“Two years ago, over two thousand sheep and camels were sent from Kyzylorda to Iran, Mongolia and the United Arab Emirates for the first time,” says BakhytZhakhanov, head of the regional administration of agriculture. - Work in this direction will continue further, because there are businessmen interested in buying from our farmers.
